Chiang Mai Kitchen was set up in 1993 with the aim
of providing delicious, authentic Thai food in a beautiful and unique
historical setting. Tucked down a little alleyway, known as Kemp
Hall passage, the 3 storey timber framed building dates from the
1630s and possibly earlier. Built originally as a private dwelling
for Alderman Boswell it was also the Oxford police station for about
100 years before becoming a popular restaurant in the early 1900s.
Much of the original oak panelling still remains along with a beautiful
carved oak staircase.
The restaurant is divided into 3 separate rooms catering
for either a romantic evening out or a party for up to 33 people.
Herbs and spices are flown in weekly from Bangkok
and all food is cooked to order. If you wish to book a table please
call 01865 202233. If you already
have a group booking you can use our online menu selection to pre
select your dishes.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
